Plug it in

We've been getting pretty chilly the last few days. "Arctic Blast" is what the media has dubbed this fine bout of weather conditions. Bitter cold works for me. Low teens at night and maybe reaching mid 20s by day. BRRR! Ferguson, my dern good 4x4 Dodge powered with the mighty Cummins Diesel has even been grumbling about being started on these bitter cold mornings. Russ recalled seeing a plug in the engine compartment, so he suggested we plug it in over night. HAH! I never thought I'd live in a place where I'd need something like that. However, it has made Fergie a very happy truck. Ya see, that plug is connected to a little heater in the engine block. The heater keeps the water warm in the block and the engine starts much easier in the morning. Not that I am likely to be going anywhere if the weather does waht they are saying it is going to do, but Russ might end up driving it too...
